SXSW Performer: Kings of Leon (Nashville, TN)
New-fangled southern-rock brother act Kings of Leon make no excuses or apologies for following in the best traditions of fellow Southerners like Lynyrd Skynyrd or The Allman Brothers Band, mixing a tendency to turn every song into an extended jam with an almost primal need to rock hard. The four Followill brothers (Caleb, Nathan, Jared and Matthew) return in April with their third full-length studio release, "Because of the Times." --Tjames Madison
Performing Saturday, March 17 at 10 p.m. at Stubb's (801 Red River St.).
