Staind, P.O.D. Top New MTV Club Tour
Staind and P.O.D. will co-headline the first MTV Return of the Rock Tour, named for the weekday block of rock music programming that airs on the cable network. Dope and Crazy Town will fill out the bill for the 12-date club tour, which runs June 14-29.
MTV is partnering with rock and alternative radio stations in each market to present the concerts. Roadrunner Records and MTV plan to release on June 13 a compilation CD featuring songs from bands on the tour, as well as Korn, Kid Rock and others.
Staind's video “Home” and P.O.D.’s “Southtown” are both being aired heavily by MTV.
