Indie rockers Saves the Day [ tickets ] will launch a co-headlining tour with Say Anything [ tickets ] later this spring, canvassing the country in advance of a new studio album, which is slated for release later this year.

The New Jersey-based emo quartet will hit 31 cities on the tour, which launches April 10 in San Diego and wraps five weeks later in Dallas, the last of a closing string of Texas appearances. Details are included below.

A variety of acts will share the two opening slots during the tour, according to the band's publicist, including Saves the Day's label-mate, singer/songwriter John Ralston.

The tour will mark the first outing for Saves the Day since it took part in last summer's Van's Warped Tour. The band has spent the intervening months holed up in the studio working on "Under the Boards," its sixth full-length album, and the follow-up to last year's "Sound the Alarm." The band's label, Vagrant, hasn't placed a release date on the new set, but the group expects it to ship sometime this fall.

Saves the Day has set up a new website where fans can keep up with news on the new album and address questions to the band, which are frequently answered in the form of podcasts available as downloads from the site.

Co-headliners Say Anything continue to back their 2004 debut, "...Is a Real Boy."
