Incubus shuffles North American, European tour dates
Alt-rockers Incubus have announced rescheduled dates for a large number of shows postponed last month after guitarist Mike Einziger injured his hand severely enough to require surgery.
The affected dates included several international shows as the band looked to mount its first world tour in over two years, as well as a number of shows in the US and Canada.
The group will kick off its next run of rescheduled dates May 14 in Victoria, British Columbia. The outing will hit eight cities and run through June 2, after which the band will re-launch its postponed European campaign. Full details on the group's rescheduled overseas shows can be found at Incubus' official website.
"We're going to be playing new material and old material," guitarist Mike Einziger told LiveDaily in February. "For me, I'll be just getting back into what really actually feels like home to me, which is being on tour and playing concerts."
The band is touring behind its latest studio album, "Light Grenades." Released late last year, the disc debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top 200 chart. The set is the band's follow-up to 2004's "A Crow Left of Murder."
The new album was produced by Brendan O'Brien, whose credits include the Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" and Pearl Jam's "Vs."
