Norah Jones adds second leg to North American tour
Norah Jones has added a second leg of dates to her current North American trek, which now looks set to run through the end of June as she continues to back her latest album, "Not Too Late."
The Grammy-winning singer/songwriter and her backing outfit, The Handsome Band, will kick off their headlining trek April 13 in Wallingford, CT. The first of the newly announced dates is a June 1 show in Morrison, CO, just outside of Denver.
"Not Too Late" is Jones' third studio album since her 2002 debut, "Come Away With Me."
Jones wrote or co-wrote all of the 13 tracks on "Not Too Late," and her longtime songwriting partner and bassist, Lee Alexander, produced the set. Other longtime collaborators who return on the new album include guitarists Adam Levy, Jesse Harris, Kevin Breit and Robbie McIntosh, drummer Andy Borger, and singer Daru Oda. Also making guest appearances are singer M. Ward, organist Larry Goldings and Kronos Quartet cellist Jeff Ziegler.
The album, Jones' third, follows 2004's "Feels Like Home," which has been certified quadruple-platinum for shipping more than four million copies in the US. It earned her a Grammy in the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance category, the eighth Grammy of her career.
According to her publicist, Jones is the best-selling female artist of the 21st century, with more than 15 million in sales over the course of the decade, and 30 million worldwide.
