Itinerary set for Korn's Family Values Tour

The dates are in for this summer's hard rockin' Family Values Tour , which has Korn and Evanescence topping the bill.

The 30-city trek is set to launch July 20 in Maryland Heights, MO, and make its way across the US, finishing in early September with four shows in California. The caravan of rock bands will also stop in Toronto July 31.

The festival's fifth installment will also feature Atreyu , Flyleaf , Trivium and Hellyeah, the new band comprising Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott and members of Mudvayne and Nothingface. Newcomers Nuerosonic and Droid will round out the bill. More surprises, including special activities for this year's village, are still to come, according to a press release.

As they did last year, tour organizers will offer $9.99 lawn seats. Tickets go on sale beginning April 28.

In related news, Joey Jordison from Slipknot will be Korn's guest drummer for Family Values and the group's European festival tour, which kicks off in May. Jordison will fill in for Korn drummer David Silveria, who has decided to take a temporary hiatus, according to an announcement the group made earlier this year.

Korn, which last month released "MTV Unplugged: Korn," is currently in the studio finishing work on its forthcoming album, which is due July 24.

Evanescence just released "Sweet Sacrifice," the third single from its multiplatinum-selling "The Open Door." The members are currently on tour in South America, where they recently performed in front of more than 75,000 fans in Buenos Aires, according to a press release. They will also make the European festival rounds before heading out on the Family Values Tour.

Family Values, which Korn and its management firm created in 1998, returned to the summer touring circuit last year following a five-year hiatus. With a second stage added to the fold and more than 400,000 tickets sold, the tour's 2006 comeback marked its most successful run.
