Bryan Adams returns to the US this summer
Bryan Adams , who did a run of US dates in January, will be back Stateside in August for another short tour of the East.
The veteran Canadian rocker will kick things off Aug. 2 in Philadelphia and so far has shows booked through Aug. 11. US dates are listed below.
Adams also has been in South America and Europe this year, and is set for another Euro trek from May to July. International shows are listed at the singer/songwriter's website.
The blue-collar-style performer, who was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame last year, celebrated his 25th year as a recording artist in 2005 with the release of "Anthology," his first double-CD retrospective. At around the same time, Adams also put out the "Live in Lisbon" DVD, which was filmed earlier that year.
"Room Service," Adams' most recent studio album, was released in the US in the spring of 2005. It marked his first set of new music in almost seven years, with the exception of the 2002 film soundtrack for "Spirit," which Adams composed and performed in English and French. A single from the "Spirit" album, "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You," scored a Grammy award for Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture.
In addition to his music career, Adams continues to make a name for himself in the photography world, exhibiting his work all over the globe. He recently shot photos of Placido Domingo, Moby and Joss Stone for the Hear The World Campaign, which aims to raise awareness about the impact of hearing loss.
