Guitar legend Eddie Van Halen , whom we last heard from when he announced in early March that he was heading into rehab, appeared last weekend at the Phoenix International Raceway, where he served as an Honorary Race Official for the Subway Fresh Fit 500 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series Race. During his appearance, the seemingly made-over guitarist--who, in photos from the event, is shown with a short haircut, dark tan and what appears to be some new dental work--unveiled a limited-edition Fender Stratocaster Guitar, as well as a limited-edition EVH Frankenstein replica.

Still no word on the fate of the band Van Halen's indefinitely postponed reunion tour with original singer David Lee Roth.
