The kiddies will keep rockin' through the summer now that Ralph's World [ tickets ] has added a second leg to its tour of House of Blues venues.

Children's music artist Ralph Covert and the Ralph's World band kicked off the tour of rock clubs in February, drawing tots to HoB venues across the country for the first time. The initial run of shows wraps April 29 in Vienna, VA, and the second leg picks up May 5 in West Hollywood, CA. The trek will also stop at rock palaces including San Francisco's Great American Music Hall and Atlanta's Variety Playhouse. The itinerary is listed below.

Shows begin in the morning hours, and several venues will offer multiple performances throughout the afternoon. Details are available at the Ralph's World website.

Covert also has a gig lined up for his grownup fans, opening for former Men At Work frontman Colin Hay May 2 in Chicago.

Covert--who still plays with his Chicago-based indie-rock band, The Bad Examples--is known for bringing an authentic rock-and-roll vibe to children's music, providing a good time for children and their parents.

Often seen on The Disney Channel, Covert is supporting his October CD/DVD release, "Welcome to Ralph's World," which includes songs from his previous six albums, one new composition and six new videos. The rocker's 2005 set, "Green Gorilla, Monster and Me!," was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Music Album for Children category.
