Los Lonely Boys cram more shows into busy summer

Hard-working "Texican" rockers Los Lonely Boys [ tickets ] have added a heap of dates to an already jam-packed calendar as they continue to back last year's "Sacred" and a recent documentary DVD.

The new dates find the band adding primarily more festival, fair and casino appearances into a schedule that now swells with more than 50 shows that stretch through the early days of September. The group is set to hit Lubbock, TX, Thursday night (5/10) as it works through a Southwestern leg. The band's full schedule is included below.

"Los Lonely Boys [ tickets ]: Cottonfields and Crossroads," directed by Hector Galan, tells the story of the three Garza brothers--Henry (guitar), Jojo (bass) and Ringo (drums)--who would eventually become Los Lonely Boys, from their early days "under the tutelage of their father," according to a press release, "playing country bars and Mexican cantinas in and around San Angelo [TX], to Nashville, where they endure turmoil and heartbreak, to their rise to fame, all the while maintaining the strong family bond that has always kept them afloat."

"Sacred" is the follow-up to Los Lonely Boys' 2003, self-titled debut, which, on the strength of the Grammy-winning single "Heaven," has been certified double-platinum in the US for shipping more than 2 million copies. The new album entered The Billboard 200 chart at No. 2 during its debut week in July, but quickly fell from the upper echelon.

The family act released its debut album on the small Or Music label. Sony picked up distribution for the release in 2004, and the group's popularity quickly took off.
