Bo Diddley's condition improving

Blues/rock legend Bo Diddley , who last weekend was hospitalized after suffering a stroke, is showing signs of improvement, according to published reports.

Though his speech remains impaired, the 78-year-old Diddley walked around the intensive-care unit at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, NE, four days after his admission there last Sunday (5/13), and doctors feel that he will be able to perform again, his manager, Margo Lewis, told the Associated Press.

"We're going to get a guitar for him and put it in his lap and let him entertain people here [at the hospital]," Lewis was quoted as saying. "People think that would be good therapy for him."

As previously reported, Diddley suffered a stroke last weekend that affected the left side of his brain, impairing his speech and speech recognition.
