Chickenfoot hits the big screen next month

Rockers Chickenfoot will put their stamp on movie theaters throughout the US for a one-night-only showing of a concert film shot during the group's 2009 tour behind its self-titled debut.

Dubbed "Chickenfoot Live," the screening is set to take place at select theaters in 33 states on Dec. 1, and will be presented in full HD and 5.1 surround sound, according to Sony Digital Cinema Music Series. A list of specific theaters is available at the event's webpage.

Earlier this month, Chickenfoot--Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony, formerly of Van Halen; guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani; and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith--released a deluxe edition of its gold-certified debut, which originally surfaced in June. The revamped version of the set features a bonus cut titled "Bitten By the Wolf," a DVD that houses an hour of new material, including videos for all 12 album tracks, as well as concert, rehearsal and studio footage. More information is available at the group's recently overhauled website.
