Remastered Beach Boys' Albums Due In July

Capitol Records will release most of the Beach Boys' Brother Records catalog beginning on July 18. The first offering will be "Sunflower" and "Surf's Up" together on a single CD, followed by "In Concert."

According to Capitol, the Beach Boys formed Brother in 1970. However, under Capitol's umbrella, Brother's first release was the 1967 single "Heroes and Villains." The Beach Boys left Capitol in 1969, then reformed Brother in 1970 with Reprise Records.

In related news, former Beach Boy Brian Wilson will recreate the group's album "Pet Sounds" during his orchestral tour this summer.
