Dylan And Lesh Hit The Amphitheaters

As Bob Dylan nears the end of a month-long European jaunt, the itinerary is being finalized for the tour of North American amphitheaters that will follow. Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh , who toured with Dylan briefly last year, will support.
Dylan has been on the road nearly non-stop since March, when he linked with western swing band Asleep at the Wheel for a tour of small U.S. markets.
Following the 1997 release of the Grammy-winning album "Time Out of Mind," Dylan has toured extensively, but his recorded output has slowed to a crawl. The only new Dylan song to be released since then is "Things Have Changed," which he recorded for the soundtrack to the film "Wonder Boys."
Lesh distanced himself from his former Grateful Dead bandmates Bob Weir and Mickey Hart after a dispute late last year over how to go about digitizing the band's vault, and he won't join them on the resurrected Furthur Festival, which will return to the amphitheater circuit late this summer.
