The Killers attack fall concert schedule
Alt-rockers The Killers will roll out another stretch of roadwork behind last year's "Sam's Town" when they launch a September romp through North America.
The Las Vegas natives kick things off with a Sept. 4 show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in suburban Denver rescheduled from earlier this year, and will hit 12 cities in the US, Canada and Mexico before dropping down to the Southern Hemisphere for a brief Brazil outing.
Pre-sales for most of the shows are available beginning today (7/18) for members of the band's online fan club, The Victims. More information on nabbing tickets can be found at the fan club's website.
Released last October, "Sam's Town" is the follow-up to The Killers' 2004 debut, "Hot Fuss." The new disc features the cuts "When You Were Young" and "For Reasons Unknown," both of which are currently streaming at the band's website. According to a posting at the site, the group recently finished shooting the video for the album's second single, "Read My Mind."
The Killers made a name for themselves with "Hot Fuss," which spawned the singles "Somebody Told Me," "Mr. Brightside" and "All These Things I've Done." The album is certified triple-platinum, signifying US shipment of 3 million copies.
