Spoon to go "Ga Ga" into October

Texas indie rockers Spoon have added a few dates to the tail end of their fall tour as they bask in the warm critical buzz generated by their new studio album, "Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga."

The Austin, TX, pop foursome has lined up a healthy dollop of new dates in October and pushed the outing into the early days of November. The band is next scheduled to land in Seattle for the Capitol Hill Block Party outdoor event.

After a pair of festivals in August--Chicago's Lollapalooza on Aug. 4 and Baltimore's edition of the Virgin Festival the following day--the group will take a month off before kicking off the second leg of its US/Canadian trek Sept. 6 in Portland, OR, at the MusicFest NW event. The band's complete schedule is included below.

Released July 10, "Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga" is Spoon's sixth studio album and follows 2005's "Gimme Fiction." A limited-edition version of the album that includes a bonus disc titled "Get Nice!" was released concurrently with the regular version. The bonus disc features a handful of instrumental songs, along with a few demos.

Spoon is currently streaming the complete new album on a dedicated website.
