Rage, Daft Punk, QOTSA highlight Vegoose lineup
The outdoor event, which takes place Oct. 27-28 in Las Vegas' Sam Boyd Stadium, will also feature appearances by Queens of the Stone Age and indie rockers The Shins , as well as a special set from The Stooges , who will perform their 1970 album "Fun House" in its entirety.
"It's really exciting for us to be able to bring acts like Rage and Daft Punk into the sphere of artists we present," said Jonathan Mayers of Superfly Productions, one of the event's co-promoters, in a prepared statement. "With it being our third year in Vegas, we know how strongly these artists will connect with both the local fans and travelers looking to have an unforgettable music experience in a special environment."
In addition to the acts mentioned above, the current lineup for Vegoose includes Muse , Cypress Hill , Public Enemy , Michael Franti & Spearhead , Umphrey's McGee , Thievery Corporation, STS9, Ghostface Killah & The Rhythm Roots All-Stars, Blonde Redhead, Gogol Bordello, U.N.K.L.E., Ghostland Observatory, Pharoah Munch, and Battles. Additional acts will be announced soon, according to organizers.
Tickets for the two-day outdoor festival go on sale to the public Saturday (7/28) at 10a.m. PT, and are only available through the event's official website.
The festival will extend outside the event's front gate this year with a lineup of separately ticketed shows--including The Shins, STS9 and Thievery Corporation--at various Las Vegas venues. Information on all shows forming part of "Vegoose at Night" can be found at the Vegoose website.
