Ozzy rejoins Ozzfest after brief hospital stay
Ozzy Osbourne reportedly underwent minor surgery Saturday (7/28) in Denver following his performance at Coors Amphitheater in nearby Englewood, CO.
According to Denver's KUSA-TV, the rock icon was complaining of leg pain throughout the day, and underwent the surgery--to remove a blood clot--after his performance. He reportedly was released from the hospital Sunday morning (7/29).
Osbourne's management company issued a statement stating that Osbourne underwent a "minor outpatient procedure" at Denver's Rose Medical Center before heading to the Kansas City, MO, area to perform there at Monday's (7/30) Ozzfest stop.
This year, the 12th annual installment of Ozzfest features namesake Osbourne on the main stage alongside Static X, Lamb of God and Finnish band Lordi. The second stage features headliner Hatebreed , along with Behemoth, DevilDriver (who recently replaced Mondo Generator), Nile, Ankla, Circus Diablo, The Showdown, 3 Inches of Blood, Daath, Chthonic and In This Moment.
Ozzfest is scheduled to run through August.
