With the start of their summer tour behind the newly released "The Mix-Up" just a day away, Beastie Boys [ tickets ] have added a handful of new shows to their schedule.

The new dates, which include Thursday's (8/2) Atlantic City appearance, are all instrumental-only shows, which the Boys are billing as "Gala Events." The Gala shows include an Aug. 5 engagement at Boston's Opera House, with the Beastie Boys requesting that fans don "appropriate dress" while attending.

The tour kicks off tomorrow night (8/1) in Philadelphia with a full-fledged hip-hop show, the first of 15 stops on the outing as the New York trio slides into regular touring mode. Dates are shown below.

"The Mix-Up" is Beastie Boys [ tickets ]' first studio album since 2004's "To the 5 Boroughs," which itself emerged after a six-year gap following 1998's "Hello Nasty." The new album is the group's first instrumental-only effort since the 1996 compilation "The In Sound from Way Out."

All three Boys play instruments on the new album, which is supplemented by contributions from longtime collaborator Mark Ramos-Nishita, also known as Money Mark.
