Rascal Flatts to wrap tour with benefit show
Country-pop trio Rascal Flatts has tweaked its concert schedule since last check, including the addition of a Sept. 21 Nashville finale that will benefit the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
The band's Music City concerts over the last two years have raised $1.4 million for the hospital, according to a press release.
"We can't think of a better way to give back to our community than to help the children and their families who are helped by Children's Hospital," bassist Jay DeMarcus said in a statement.
Tickets for the Nashville show go on sale this Saturday (8/11) through Ticketmaster outlets (LiveDaily's parent company).
Rascal Flatts launched its "Still Feels Good" US tour in mid-July and still has dates to go all over the country, including a recently added second night in Pittsburgh. The itinerary is listed below.
The group is getting ready to drop its fifth studio album, "Still Feels Good," Sept. 25. The lead single, "Take Me There," is already making waves at radio and is streaming at Rascal Flatts' MySpace page.
Also streaming at the band's MySpace page is its recording of the Beatles tune "Revolution," which is featured in the film "Evan Almighty."
"Still Feels Good" follows last year's "Me and My Gang," which topped The Billboard 200 chart and became the biggest sales debut of the year. Rascal Flatts' tour behind "Me and My Gang" played to more than 1 million fans, making the group the best-selling artist of 2006, according to a press release.
