Shadows Fall enlists in Operation Annihilation
The US outing launches Oct. 5 in Ft. Wayne, IN, and currently has dates booked from coast to coast through early November. More shows are expected to be announced shortly, according to a press release. Fellow metal bands Three Inches of Blood and Divine Heresy are on the bill, as well.
Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday (8/24); fan-only pre-sales are currently under way. Further information is available at Shadows Fall's website.
The band will warm up for the tour with a handful September gigs along the East Coast with All That Remains, Protest The Hero, and The Showdown . Those dates and the Operation Annihilation schedule are listed below.
Shadows Fall has been tearing up the road this year, having already completed stints on the Jagermeister Music Tour and the Sounds of the Underground Tour, which wrapped just over a week ago. The band is supporting its major-label debut on Atlantic Records, "Threads of Life," which surfaced in April.
The second single from the set, "Another Hero Lost," is set to hit radio next week and the video goes into production this week. The lead single, "Redemption," reached No. 1 at metal radio earlier this year and spent 12 weeks in the Active Rock Top 40, according to a press release. Both songs are streaming at Shadows Fall's MySpace page.
The Grammy-nominated metal quintet, which formed more than a decade ago in Springfield, MA, got its big break in 2003 when it was offered a second-stage slot on the Ozzfest tour. Two summers later, Shadows Fall made the leap to Ozzfest's mainstage.
