Counting Crows, Willie Nelson Among Acts Named For Glastonbury Festival

LONDON--Organizers of the Glastonbury Festival, the U.K.'s best known summer music event, have announced this year's line-up. The three-day gig, which drew over 100,000 people last year, and has been held at the Worthy Farm in Pilton, England since 1970, will take place from June 23 to 25.

British and American acts added to the bill of the main arena, the Pyramid Stage, include Counting Crows , Pet Shop Boys , Willie Nelson and Reef. David Bowie , the Chemical Brothers and Cypress Hill are previously announced performers.

Headliners on the Other Stage, the second biggest arena, include Nine Inch Nails, Leftfield and Basement Jaxx.

Full line-ups for all stages--except the new dance forum the Glade--can be found on the official Glastonbury Festival website. The festival also features comedy, theater and cinema.

In past years, complete itineraries for each stage have not been rolled out until a few days before the festival. The change of heart over releasing line-ups earlier is probably due to the event not selling out last year and to slow sales this year.
