The road 'Still Feels Good' to Rascal Flatts
Once again, Rascal Flatts has expanded its US tour ahead of the band's forthcoming album, "Still Feels Good."
The country-pop trio, which has been criss-crossing the US since July, now has dates stretching into November. The 10 cities added since last check include Chicago, St. Louis and Atlanta, and the band's next gig is set for Wednesday (9/13) in Phoenix. The full itinerary is listed below.
Along the way, Rascal Flatts will make a Sept. 21 stop in Nashville for a concert to benefit the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. The group has raised $1.4 million for the hospital over the past two years, according to a press release.
"Still Feels Good," Rascal Flatts' fifth studio album, was recorded with award-winning producer Dan Huff and is scheduled to drop Sept. 25. The lead single, "Take Me There," is already in the Top 3 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.
The band has also recently been on the charts with its version of the Beatles' "Revolution," which was featured in the film "Evan Almighty." That song and a sample of "Take Me There" are streaming at Rascal Flatts' MySpace page.
The trio's most recent release, last year's "Me and My Gang," topped the Billboard 200 chart and became the biggest sales debut of the year. The tour behind that album reached more than 1 million fans in 74 cities, making Rascal Flatts the best-selling artist across all genres in 2006, according to a press release.
Meanwhile, the band has been stacking up the awards this year, so far scoring a pair of People's Choice honors, Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards and its fifth consecutive Vocal Group of the Year trophy from the Academy of Country Music.
In November, Rascal Flatts will be vying for Vocal Group of the Year and Entertainer of the Year at the 41st Annual Country Music Association Awards.
