Tina Turner To Play 40 Additional North American Concerts
Tina Turner --who is currently wrapping up the first North American leg of what is being billed as her last major tour--has announced plans to play 40 additional U.S. and Canadian concerts beginning in mid-September.
Exact dates and venues for the second North American leg haven't been announced, but Turner's camp has confirmed that the first show will take place at FleetCenter in Boston on Sept. 20. This leg will include stops in several markets that the singer visited during the first portion of the tour, including Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, Denver, Las Vegas and Nashville.
Turner opened her “Twenty-Four Seven” tour in late March, and is scheduled to conclude its first North American leg on June 16. A European tour will follow.
According to Pollstar, Turner’s tour has been among the top-grossing of 2000, with box office grosses averaging more than $1 million in each city.
