Sleater-Kinney Announces European Tour
Punk trio Sleater-Kinney will kick off its European tour on July 9 in Belgium at the 12th Annual Dour Festival. The band will then head to France, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands before winding things up in Brighton, England on July 30.
Comprising singers-guitarists Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein, and drummer Janet Weiss, Sleater-Kinney is touring in support of its latest album "All Hands on the Bad One" (Kill Rock Stars), released in May.
The hard-rocking grrrl band made its indie-label debut in 1996 with "Call the Doctor" (Chainsaw). That album was followed by "Dig Me Out" (Kill Rock Stars) in 1997 and "Hot Rock" (Kill Rock Stars) in 1999.
The band's last two U.S. dates will take place at the El Rey Theater in L.A. on Wednesday (6/6) and Thursday (6/7).
