Keith Urban fills in fall schedule
A dozen more shows have been added to the second leg of Keith Urban 's "Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy World Tour."
The country star, who is taking a break from the road through next month, will start up again Nov. 1 in Columbus, OH, and play in the eastern half of the US through mid-December, when he'll head to Canada for a few gigs. Gary Allan will fill the opening slot on the outing, which currently wraps with a two-night stand in London, Ontario. Details are listed below.
Urban spent the spring touring Europe and his native Australia, and wrapped the summer leg of his North American tour last weekend. He's out supporting his fourth studio album, "Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing," which snagged the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart when it was released last November.
The record has spawned crossover hits "Stupid Boy" and "I Told You So," along with Grammy-nominated song "Once in a Lifetime." The latest single, "Everybody," is currently climbing country-radio charts and is streaming at Urban's MySpace page.
During his tour, Urban will take time out to perform at the 41st Annual CMA Awards, where he's up for four honors: Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist, Album of the Year and Song of the Year for "Stupid Boy." The Nov. 7 ceremony will air on ABC-TV.
Meanwhile, the singer has confirmed he's putting together a greatest-hits album, which is due Nov. 20, according to his website. The set is expected to include all of Urban's No. 1 hits and many of his Top 5 songs.
