Jimmy Buffett sets course for San Francisco
Jimmy Buffett & The Coral Reefer Band will return to San Francisco's Fillmore in October, an encore of sorts following the singer's 2005 appearance at the venue.
Strict anti-scalping measures will be in place for the intimate Oct. 18 show, which follows Buffett's next scheduled engagement, an Oct. 4 appearance in Honolulu. Tickets for the San Francisco show go on sale Oct. 8 at 10 a.m. PDT, according to promoter Live Nation, and can be ordered only through Ticketmaster's website; customers are limited to two tickets each. (Ticketmaster is LiveDailiy's parent company.)
Additionally, in order to redeem the tickets, fans will need to bring to the Fillmore's box office on the day of the show a government-issued ID card and the credit card used to purchase the tickets. After receiving tickets, fans must immediately enter the theater. The venue's doors open at 6 p.m. local time.
Buffett is currently touring behind last year's "Take the Weather With You," which scored the singer his second consecutive No. 1 debut on Billboard's Country Albums chart. Buffett was also recently nominated for a CMA award for "Hey Good Lookin'," his collaboration with George Strait and Alan Jackson.
The singer's next project, "Live in Anguilla," will hit stores Nov. 6. The 90-minute set was taken from Buffett's two March shows on the Caribbean island's Rendezvous Bay resort. The concert will be released simultaneously on both double CD and live DVD.
