The Pipettes shuffle North American tour dates
British indie-pop trio The Pipettes have shifted the start of their fall US tour toward the end of October after nailing down visa issues that forced the group to cancel several shows.
The girl-group revivalists--who wear matching polka dot dresses on stage and go simply by the names Rose, Gwenno and Becki--will now kick off their second headlining tour of the year on this side of the ocean Oct. 25 in Los Angeles, with most of the trio's original dates now shifted to later in October and November. Barring any additional make-good dates, the group's schedule is now complete and is included below.
Ticket holders for the originally scheduled Los Angeles and Baltimore dates are advised to seek a refund for the original ticket and purchase a new one, as both shows have been shifted to new venues as well as new dates. For shows in other cities, consult the group's website to find out whether the original ticket can be used for the rescheduled show.
The trio is touring behind its July debut album, "We Are the Pipettes." The entire album was re-mixed by producer/engineer Greg Wells (Timbaland, Rufus Wainwright) for its official US release, which hit stores Oct. 2 and features two bonus tracks not found on the UK version.
An EP, "Your Kisses Are Wasted On Me," was released in June, preceding the band's full-length debut. The EP's title track peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.
