Tool not ready to see end of 'Days'
Alt-rockers Tool , who spent most of the spring and summer on the road behind "10,000 Days," the band's latest studio effort, will hop back on the tour bus again next month.
The group--which takes its time between albums, having only released four full-length studio efforts since 1993--has been touring almost non-stop since the album's release last year. The new dates come after the band's lengthy European outing, which finished up in September, and will kick off Nov. 14 in Austin, TX.
The current schedule covers 12 cities, and the band recently told fans via its website to expect more dates down the road, including a possible multi-night stand in the group's Los Angeles hometown. All confirmed dates are shown below.
"10,000 Days" debuted at the top of The Billboard 200 chart upon its release, moving 564,000 copies in its first week on store shelves, and also scored the band two Grammy nominations, including Best Hard Rock Performance for the song "Vicarious."
The disc, which hit the streets more than a year ago, marked Tool's return following a three-year hiatus. The set followed 2001's multiplatinum-selling "Lateralus," which also debuted at No. 1 on the album chart.
In a 16-year span, Tool has sold more than 10 million albums and a half million videos in the US, according to a statement.
