Tegan and Sara plot more dates around 'Con'
The Canadian twin sisters, who have been on the road since the disc's July release, are currently nearing the end of a one-month stretch in their home country, including tonight's (10/15) show in Quebec City, after which they'll kick off six weeks of US shows. All dates are shown below.
Female rap trio Northern State--whose most recent album, August's "Can I Keep This Pen?" features production help from Beastie Boys' Adrock--will offer opening support on all upcoming Tegan and Sara dates.
The twins' fifth studio album, "The Con," was co-produced by the sisters and Chris Walla, and features special guests including Jason McGerr of Death Cab for Cutie, Matt Sharp of The Rentals and Hunter Burgan of AFI, according to the band's bio. A couple of songs from the record are steaming at Tegan and Sara's MySpace page.
The new album follows 2004's "So Jealous," which landed on Rolling Stone's Top 50 Records of the Year list.
