Hawthorne Heights promise new album, reveal late year dates
Emo rockers Hawthorne Heights are back on the road again for a late-year headlining run that follows the band's recent studio work for a planned new album.
The Dayton, OH-based act will kick off a long stretch of new dates Oct. 30 in Wichita, KS. The outing covers nearly 40 cities, and will keep the group occupied through late December. Dates are listed below.
Opening support for the first part of the trek--dates from Oct. 30 to Nov. 21--will consist of Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Amber Pacific and New Years Day, with Escape the Fate, Amber Pacific, The Aka's and The Secret Handshake handling opening duties on all subsequent shows.
Hawthorne Heights' first album, 2004's "The Silence in Black and White," shipped platinum and became indie label Victory Records' most successful debut. The band's latest set, last year's "If Only You Were Lonely," includes the breakthrough hit "Saying Sorry" and has achieved gold status since its February 2006 release.
The group--currently searching for a new record label following an ugly legal row with Victory--is currently working on a new studio album with producer Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Daughtry), according to the band's MySpace page, where streaming audio of a demo version of the band's new song, "Come Back Home," can be heard.
