Trisha Yearwood rolls out 'Heaven, Heartache'
Trisha Yearwood 's new album is scheduled to drop this month and the country star is assembling a spring tour to support it.
The initial itinerary shows Yearwood kicking things off Feb. 9 in Austin, TX, and then traveling along the East Coast before doing a two-night stand in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The outing currently is set to wrap March 16 in Jackson, MI. Details are listed below.
Though her full-scale tour doesn't launch until next year, fans won't have to wait that long to catch a glimpse of the songstress. Besides a one-off show in Atlanta tomorrow (11/3), Yearwood will join her husband, Garth Brooks, beginning Monday (11/5) for a nine-show run at Kansas City, MO's new Sprint Center. The Nov. 14 finale will be piped into more than 300 movie theaters across the country, with an encore presentation the following day. Theater locations and additional information is available at the Fathom Events website.
Yearwood will also make a splash on television this month with special programming on the Country Music Television and Great American Country networks, as well as appearances on the "Today Show," "Late Night with David Letterman," "The View" and "The Thanksgiving Day Parade." Yearwood's television schedule can be found at her website.
The three-time Grammy winner will release her first new studio album in two years, "Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love," Nov. 13. The set is her debut on indie label Big Machine Records. Yearwood signed with the company after ending her 16-year relationship with MCA Records earlier this year.
The title track from the album is currently holding steady on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. A sample of the tune is streaming at Yearwood's MySpace page, where a link to the music video can also be found.
The singer is also on the Top Country Albums chart with her best-of collection, "Trisha Yearwood's Greatest Hits," which surfaced in September. The 17-track set includes 11 No. 1 hits and two previously unreleased songs.
Yearwood's latest studio album, 2005's "Jasper County," marked her return to the music business after a four-year hiatus. Last year, the record was reissued with an additional track--the Grammy-nominated duet with Brooks, "Love Will Always Win."
Yearwood, a two-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year, burst onto country radio in 1991 with "She's in Love With the Boy." The Grand Ole Opry member has sold more than 10 million albums during her career.
