Foo Fighters assemble 2008 trek
The Foo Fighters have announced their first round of 2008 dates to support their new album, "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace."
So far, the Grammy-winning rockers have scheduled a half-dozen arena shows beginning Jan. 23 in Dallas. They'll also play Memphis and Nashville in January before jumping into mid-February with gigs in Philadelphia, Detroit and Worcester, MA. Details are listed below.
Fans who register for the Foo Fighters' email list via the band's official website can get a hold of pre-sale tickets beginning tomorrow (11/15), while general ticket sales begin Friday (11/16).
Currently, the Foo Fighters are nearing the end of a two-week UK jaunt that sold out in advance, according to their website. Those dates wrap this weekend with a two-night stand at London's O2 arena.
The group's sixth studio album, "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace," surfaced Sept. 25 and snagged the No. 3 spot on The Billboard 200. Lead single "The Pretender" continues to top the modern rock chart after 14 weeks. It is streaming at the Foo Fighters' MySpace page.
The new record reunited the bandmates with producer Gil Norton, who helmed their 1997 double-platinum seller, "The Colour and the Shape." That set was recently remastered and reissued as a 10th anniversary deluxe edition with six bonus tracks.
