Radiohead outlines US tour plans, details to come

With "In Rainbows" claiming the top slot on the album charts in its official debut week, Radiohead is beginning to look forward to a North American tour later this year.

The British rockers have only revealed a list of cities so far, with firm plans to come at a later date. The band will hit 22 North American destinations in two tour segments, one prior to the group's scheduled summer tour of the UK and Europe, and one following that trek.

The itinerary so far includes most of the major metropolitan areas of the US, and three stops in Canada (Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.) The complete list is shown below.

In addition to its tour plans, Radiohead is celebrating a No. 1 debut for "In Rainbows" on The Billboard 200 album chart, with the retail version of the disc--which hit stores Jan. 1--moving 122,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The album was famously made available to fans a few months ago on a "pay what you like" basis, with Billboard estimating 1.2 million sales of the digital download during the first day of its release. The band hasn't made public the actual number of downloads, nor the amount of money fans paid.

The band performed the album in its entirety on a special New Year's Eve web/cable simulcast for Current TV, which will re-air the performance this coming weekend. The concert can also be viewed online on Radiohead's YouTube page.
