Radiohead's 'In Rainbows' paces US album chart

January 9, 2008 02:01 PM
Despite the fact that it was released last October as a "name your own price" download, the physical version of Radiohead 's "In Rainbows" album sold 122,000 copies during its first week in stores.

That was enough to edge out Alicia Keys ' "As I Am" for the No. 1 spot on this week's Billboard 200. "As I Am" is spending its second consecutive week at No. 2 on the chart, which is based on Nielsen SoundScan retail reports.

Dropping from No. 1 to No. 3 is Mary J. Blige 's "Growing Pains," which sold 89,000 copies. The "Now 26" hits compilation remains at No. 4, while Taylor Swift 's self-titled debut moves up three notches to No. 5.

Rounding out the Top 10 are Chris Brown 's "Exclusive," Garth Brooks ' "The Ultimate Hits," the "Juno" soundtrack, Colbie Caillat 's "Bubbly" and the Eagles "Long Road Out of Eden."
