Marilyn Manson, Twiggy Ramirez together again
Marilyn Manson and estranged bassist Twiggy Ramirez have buried the hatchet and will travel together on the shock rocker's upcoming "Rape of the World Tour."
"The duo that started it all, are back together to finish where they left off," boasts a statement from the Manson camp. "The two who co-wrote 'Antichrist Superstar,' 'Mechanical Animals,' and 'Holy Wood' will be sharing the stage once again."
Bassist/ multi-instrumentalist Tim Skold has amicably split with Manson but future collaborations aren't being ruled out, according to a press release. Manson's touring band will be rounded out by keyboardist Chris Vrenna, guitarist Rob Holliday and drummer Ginger Fish.
The US leg of the "Rape of the World Tour" is scheduled to launch Jan. 19 in Orlando, FL. Manson and company will travel from the East Coast to the West Coast through late February and they've recently tacked on three Texas dates to wrap the trek. Since last check, the Vancouver show has been moved to Feb. 17 at the QE Theatre. An updated itinerary is listed below.
Since summer, Manson has been supporting his latest set, "Eat Me, Drink Me," which surfaced in June and reached No. 8 on The Billboard 200. The album, said to be Manson's most personal statement yet, followed a period of turmoil during which the singer reportedly considered suicide.
The video for lead single "Heart Shaped Glasses (When the Heart Guides the Hand)," which features Manson's girlfriend, actress Evan Rachel Wood, is streaming at the rocker's website.
