Jimmy Eat World, Paramore team up for spring tour
Pop-punk outfits Jimmy Eat World and Paramore will join forces this spring for an extensive co-headlining tour.
Dates, venues and support acts for the outing, which looks to kick off in March, will be announced shortly, according to organizers; Jimmy Eat World is currently polishing off the remaining few shows of a US headlining run before heading overseas for a stretch of international dates.
Jimmy Eat World's complete European schedule can be found at its website.
"We're very excited for the upcoming tour with Paramore," Jimmy Eat World's lead singer Jim Adkins said in a press statement. "We got to know them last December while playing festivals together. They put on a great show and we think it's going to be an awesome bill."
"If it all ends tomorrow, we will be happy knowing that we got a tour with the band that gave us a reason to play music," added Paramore's Hayley Williams.
Jimmy Eat World is backing last year's "Chase This Light," its first full-length studio set since 2004's gold-certified "Futures," which landed on end-of-year best-of lists complied by Rolling Stone, Blender and Spin.
"Riot!," Paramore's sophomore set on the Fueled by Ramen label, debuted at No. 20 on The Billboard 200 last June and recently jumped to No. 15. The album's first single, "Misery Business," is in the Top 10 at modern-rock radio, and the video is making serious waves at MTV. The song and video are streaming at the band's MySpace page.
