Dave Matthews Band To Perform With Al Green In Chicago
Soul legend Al Green will sing a song with Dave Matthews Band during the band’s June 30 appearance at Chicago's Soldier Field. The song will be featured in the forthcoming IMAX concert film “All Access.”
According to IMAX, the film will also feature concert footage of Carlos Santana with Rob Thomas, Sheryl Crow, Phish's Trey Anastasio with B.B. King and the Roots, Moby, Macy Gray, Kid Rock, Sting with Cheb Mami, and George Clinton and the P-Funk All Stars with Mary J. Blige.
The large-format film is expected to show in 250 IMAX theaters in 26 countries, but a release date has not been announced.
According to Dave Matthews Band ’s official website, front row tickets to each show on the band’s summer tour will be auctioned via Yahoo! Auctions to benefit the Bama Works Foundation, which the band established to benefit various charity organizations.
In addition to the tour's previously announced opening acts, the Mavericks will open for the band's August 4-6 shows, David Gray will open for the band's August 19-27 shows and Bela Fleck and the Flecktones for the band's September 12-20 shows.
