Dax Riggs set to spill more 'Blood' in February
The Louisiana-bred "swamp rocker"--who cut his teeth in the music business with southern metal outfit Acid Bath before striking out on his own--kicks off the run Feb. 1 in Toledo, OH, and will hit 16 cities next month. Dates are below.
Drummer Andy McLeod, who also appeared with Riggs' during his fall tour last year, will join the guitarist/vocalist onstage for the outing.
"We Sing Only of Blood or Love," released last August, featured Riggs with several members of the final incarnation of Deadboy & The Elephantmen: Alex Bergeron (bass), Adam Clement (drums) and Sean Keating (keyboards). The 15-track album was produced by Matt Sweeney (Skunk, Chavez), and features additional mixing input from rocker Andrew W.K.
In February, Riggs will re-release Deadboy & The Elephantmen's out-of-print 2002 debut, "If This Is Hell, Then I'm Lucky," under his own name. Riggs disbanded the group in April of last year following the departure of drummer Tessie Brunet.
