Grateful Dead's Bill Kreutzmann Joins The Other Ones For Furthur

June 22, 2000 05:31 PM
John Molo, drummer for Grateful Dead offshoot the Other Ones, won't appear on the upcoming Furthur Festival tour due to "scheduling conflicts," according to Grateful Dead Productions. Bill Kreutzmann, a 30-year veteran of the Grateful Dead, will fill in on the drums for the duration of the tour.

The Furthur Festival, which was first assembled in 1996 by surviving members of the Grateful Dead, opens a month-long run on Aug. 23. The Other Ones lineup will also include Bob Weir (vocals, guitar), Bruce Hornsby (vocals, keyboards), Mickey Hart (vocals, percussion), Steve Kimock (lead guitar), Mark Karan (vocals, lead guitar), and Alphonso Johnson (vocals, bass).

Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers support on all dates.
