Kinky plots US club tour

Latin electronic-rock act Kinky returns to the US in February for a month-long headlining tour heavy with dates in the Southwest.

The five-member group--which hails from Monterrey, Mexico--continues to support its 2006 release "Reina" on the outing, which kicks off Feb. 23 in Chicago. After a few dates on the eastern side of the US, the bulk of the tour moves to Texas, Arizona and California, with 13 of the trek's 22 shows falling in those states. The band's complete itinerary is included below.

Unlike Kinky 's first two albums--2002's self-titled debut and 2003's "Atlas"--most of the lyrics on "Reina" are sung in English. Colin Hay of Men at Work provides guest vocals on "Monday Killer."

Streaming video of the band's cover of the Wall of Voodoo classic "Mexican Radio" can be found at Kinky's MySpace page.
