Indie rockers Minus the Bear [ tickets ] will hit the road this spring for a headlining club tour behind their most recent studio set, last August's "Planet of Ice."

The Seattle band will make a March 9 appearance at southern Florida's Langerado Festival before launching the headlining portion of the schedule, which kicks off March 24 in Vancouver. The 23-city outing runs through late April, concluding with an April 26 slot at the Coachella music festival in Indio, CA. Dates are below.

Released last August, "Planet of Ice" is the band's third long-player, following 2005's "Menos el Oso" and 2002's "Highly Refined Pirates." The set was co-produced by Chris Common and the group's ex-keyboard player, Matt Bayles.

"Planet of Ice" is Minus the Bear's first to feature Alex Rose on keyboards, replacing Bayles, who left the group in 2006 to concentrate on his burgeoning production career.

"This was really the first album where we were all writing together as a team and Alex was definitely instrumental in that," bassist Cory Murchy said on the band's label site. "Alex is an amazing keyboard player and it was great to have another musical force in the band."
