El Perro del Mar, Lykke Li plot co-headlining tour
The Swedish women--both well established solo artists in their home country--will canvas the US from east to west, kicking off May 6 in Philadelphia and finishing up the trek in Los Angeles two weeks and 10 cities later.
A third Swedish singer/songwriter, Anna Ternheim, will join the tour as a special guest and provide opening support for all dates. The complete schedule is included below.
Assbring, who performs under the name El Perro del Mar (Spanish for "dog of the sea"), is touring behind her forthcoming second full-length LP, "From the Valley to the Stars," which is set for an April 22 release in the US. The album follows her 2006 self-titled debut, which gathered her various previously released singles and EPs onto a single disc.
Li released her debut full-length album, "Youth Novels," earlier this month. The studio creation, which was produced by Bjorn Yttling (of Swedish indie pop trio Peter Bjorn and John), follows her 2007 debut EP, "Little Bit."
Ternheim's US debut, "Halfway to Fivepoints," is due in stores April 22.
