Jack Johnson surfs 'Static' wave, plots summer trek

With his latest album riding the top of the charts for the third straight week, Jack Johnson has announced plans for a full-fledged summer tour.

The Hawaiian-born singer/songwriter has already signed on to several big music festivals over the coming months, with the latest addition being the Aug. 22-24 Outside Lands festival in San Francisco; Johnson will headline the final day of the event. Additionally, the singer will make an April 25 headlining appearance at Southern California's Coachella, and will also tackle a June 15 slot at Tennessee's Bonnaroo festival.

As for his own shows, Johnson kicks off his summer tour June 13 in Noblesville, IN. The June and August trek will stretch through 19 cities, including the festival appearances. All dates are included below.

Johnson's fourth studio album, "Sleep Through the Static," debuted at No. 1 last month on The Billboard 200 chart, moving 375,000 copies during its first week in stores. The disc has remained a hot seller in subsequent weeks, claiming the top sales spot for at least one week not only in the US, but also in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland and Singapore.

The self-produced album, which follows 2005's "In Between Dreams," boasts a pair of singles--the title track and "If I Had Eyes"--released through Johnson's MySpace page.
