Kid Rock expands 'Rock and Roll Revival'
Kid Rock is taking his merry band of special guests out for another round of dates on his "Rock and Roll Revival Tour."
The revue-style outing, which launched in January, has featured Rock and his Twisted Brown Trucker Band playing a medley of hits with guests including Run D.M.C.'s Reverend Run, former Allman Brothers Band guitarist Dicky Betts and J. Giles Band frontman Peter Wolf. The trek continues tomorrow (3/11) in Atlanta and will visit US cities from the Midwest to the East Coast through late May. Reverend Run and Wolf will continue to appear on select dates.
The itinerary includes Rock's second-ever headlining show at New York City's Madison Square Garden, where Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Lynyrd Skynyrd will join in on the festivities.
Following the US run, Rock will head across the pond for his first European tour since 2001. American dates are listed below and those overseas can be found at his website.
The Detroit rap-rocker continues to support his October release, "Rock N Roll Jesus," which topped The Billboard 200 and has spawned mainstream- and modern-rock hits "So Hott" and "Amen." The album's third single, "All Summer Long," is due at radio next week, and Rock is scheduled to shoot the video early next month.
Before "Rock N Roll Jesus," Rock's last proper studio album was his 2003 self-titled set. In 2006, he released his first-ever live record, "Live Trucker."
