Van Halen tour hits another roadblock
Seventeen additional dates--beginning with tomorrow's (3/11) planned gig in Charlottesville, VA--have been postponed and are expected to be rescheduled, according to promoter Live Nation. According to a press release, the shows "are being rescheduled so that Eddie Van Halen, who is currently under doctors' care, can continue medical tests to define a course of treatment."
In recent weeks, the group also postponed gigs in Charlottesville, VA; Duluth, GA; Cincinnati; Baltimore; and Raleigh, NC. Those shows had been rescheduled, but many of the new dates will have to be changed again. Details are in the itinerary below.
As it currently stands, the tour will resume April 19 in Las Vegas.
Van Halen hit the road last fall with frontman David Lee Roth at the helm for the first time in more than two decades. The outing ended up being one of 2007's Top 5 highest-grossing tours, prompting the group to book a new leg of shows that kicked off in late January.
