Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band shot a video for "American Skin," Billboard reported. The song, which deals with the shooting by New York police of Amadou Diallo, recently inspired a New York police group to encourage members to boycott a concert by Springsteen and band.

The graves of two members of Lynyrd Skynyrd have been vandalized, AP reported. Family members of Ronnie Van Zant and Steve Gaines must decide what should be done with the unearthed remains.

The New York Times reported that AOL will be using protective software from the company InterTrust in its AOL 6.0 software--customers will pay a fee before downloading protected music from AOL. One can only speculate on how AOL will measure up to such sites as Napster, which requires no fee to download unprotected music.
