A Cursive Memory gives 'Everything' on US tour
The band's current schedule is broken into three parts: dates with Armor for Sleep ; appearances on the Bamboozle Road Show with Saves the Day, Armor for Sleep and Set Your Goals; and a co-headlining stint with The Medic Droid . The tour continues tonight (3/21) in Pittsburgh and visits clubs and theaters all over the country through late May, as well as the April 6 Bamboozle Left Festival in Irvine, CA. More dates are expected before it's all said and done. The current itinerary is detailed below.
A Cursive Memory is supporting its debut album, "Changes," which hit the streets last month. The video for the lead single, "Everything," is making quite a splash, setting a MySpace record for the most-watched rock music video in one week and landing in the Top 10 on MTV's TRL countdown, according to blog postings at the group's MySpace page.
The California quartet spent several months scouring the streets of Hollywood and following paparazzi to get top-name celebrities to appear (sometimes unwillingly) in the humorous video, according to a press release. The end result can be seen at A Cursive Memory's MySpace page.
The bandmates--vocalist/guitarist Shaun Profeta, vocalist/guitarist Colin Baylen, bassist Mark Borst Smith and drummer Dillan Wheeler--just graduated from high school last spring, but they've been writing and performing together since they were 14 and have already shared the stage with acts including Hellogoodbye, Boys Like Girls and Jimmy Eat World, according to a press release.
