Roots rockers Augustana [ tickets ] will soon take to the road for a late spring and early summer tour behind the band's new studio record, "Can't Love, Can't Hurt."

The Southern Californians launch the trek May 7 in Seattle. The 27-date outing hits most major markets in the US (along with a brief excursion into Canada) and runs through the middle of June. Dates are shown below.

"Can't Love, Can't Hurt," the band's second full-length album and its follow-up to 2005's "All the Stars and Boulevards," is due in stores April 28. A digital three-track EP of the same name, featuring three cuts from the forthcoming CD, hit iTunes in February.

"I feel like it kind of encapsulates the record," bassist Jared Palomar said of the album's title in a recent interview with LiveDaily. "This whole record took a real turn from our last record. Our last record was really about traveling and being kind of nomads and trying to find a home and love. This time around, the subject matter definitely has more of a focus on finding that love."
