Phil Lesh [ tickets ] & Friends have rolled out a summer schedule full of festival appearances and lengthy one-city engagements as the band looks past its remaining spring obligations.

The group, led by former Grateful Dead founding member Lesh, kicks off its remaining spring run May 8 and 9 in Denver, closing out the season with a five-night run at San Francisco's Warfield Theater beginning May 13.

The following month, the band heads out on the road for the first of the summer shows, a June 12 date in Columbus, OH. The group currently shows 18 cities on the mid-year trek, which concludes with an Aug. 2 spot at Bridgeport, CT's Gathering of the Vibes festival. All dates are included below.

On his upcoming trip, Lesh's ever-changing lineup of "Friends" will include singer/songwriter Jackie Greene, guitarist Larry Campbell, keyboardist Steve Molitz and drummer John Molo. The current edition of the group of musicians debuted last fall on a coast-to-coast tour, which wrapped in November with a nine-show residency at New York City's Nokia Theatre Times Square.

Lesh, a pioneering bassist who played with the Grateful Dead for three decades, released several live albums last year, including "Live at the Warfield." The musician recorded the CD/DVD set during a two-night stand in San Francisco with singer Joan Osborne, guitarists Campbell and John Scofield, saxophonist Greg Osby, keyboardist Rob Barraco and Molo on drums. Since Jerry Garcia's death in 1995, Lesh has joined Grateful Dead bandmates Bob Weir and Mickey Hart in the Other Ones and The Dead, in addition to launching a solo career. 2002's "There and Back Again" remains Lesh's sole studio album since his Dead days.
